Daniela Sloan (a.k.a. DAJA) is a Chicago native with Colombian roots performing original acoustic soul throughout Chicago. Backed by her guitar and upright bassist Scott Bakshis, she is a powerful and sensual performer singing with the classic sound of Nina Simone blended with the poetry and cadence of Jill Scott and Lauryn Hill. Her original songs move between hip-hop, blues, and Latin, often surprising audiences by integrating Flamenco footwork and spoken word into performances. Daniela is an up and coming Chicago artist, often featured in Chicago’s popular Paper Machete show at the Green Mill Jazz Club. She has been interviewed on NPR and has recorded and performed with European artists Fink and WAEK. She is set to release her second album under the new moniker DAJA in the fall of 2019.

Anna Soltys
Anna Soltys is a Chicago artist with roots in Poland, and France. Her band ‘Anna Soltys and the Familiar’ just release their long awaited self titled debut album in 2018. The soft & sultry sound of her voice tops a bed of darkly optimistic melodies and lyrics that are reminiscent of Mazzy Star or Bob Dylan at points. Her works spans from her folk/rock performances in the Chicago’s scene to the EDM stages where she performs her original collaborations with ‘Future Rock’. Future Rock also release a record in 2018 titled ‘Long Ago’. Look out for more work from this eclectic Chicago artist.
