Remembrance Day for Lost Species
Remembrance Day for Lost Species
Remembrance Day for Lost Species is a chance each year to explore the stories of extinct and critically endangered species, cultures, lifeways, and ecological communities. The day provides an opportunity for participants to make or renew commitments to all who remain, and to develop creative and practical solutions.

Since 2017, songwriters in Chicago have gathered to mourn lost species and celebrate conservation efforts and triumphs by writing and performing songs about animals lost to us due to our impact. On November 22, some of Chicago's best songwriters will bring you songs written specifically for Lost Species Day; songs to bring hope and songs to move us to action.

This year we will be supporting the amazing work of Friends of the Chicago River.

Performers: Louis Bardales (louisbardales.com), Robin Bienemann (robinb.org), Steve Dawson (stevedawsonmusic.com), Sue Fink (suefink.com), Rebecca Jasso (rebeccajasso.com), Zion Rodman(zionrodmanmusic.com), Alisa Rosenthal (alisarosenthal.com), and Ami Saraiya (amisaraiya.com)
