Max Subar
Max Subar
Alt-Folk singer/songwriter Max Subar is bound to his midwestern roots with songwriting that radiates honesty and closeness. After acquiring a cassette machine, Max began demoing and recording a new group of songs, which by the end of 2018 became his most recent EP, What The Story Says. Recorded primarily in his sunroom, it’s a collection of songs reflecting on the personal narratives we tell ourselves. Supported with instrumentation by bandmates and close friends, the recordings serve as a communal exploration of this concept.

Henry True has written and performed music around the country from a young age, both as a solo artist and with Chicago band The Blisters. His debut album, Mass to Gloria Hills, contains echoes of folk music and rock, and at the same time possesses his own fresh artistic vision that seeks to move those traditions forward. After performing solo for some time, he has now assembled a group of excellent players to bring his unique compositions to life in a life setting. His second album is forthcoming in 2019.
