Kachi
Kachi has been able to cultivate a sound that blends folksy ballads and rock seamlessly. Written by Kachi Ebiringah and David Miller, while supplemented by fellow homies Wilson and Colin, their music is an exercise in translating complex and often deeply personal emotions into empathetic explanations to dance or sway to. Versatile in nature, KACHI confidently fronts the project, leading us through his own personal lens but never making us feel like outsiders to his experiences.

Nate Barksdale began making music in the late 2000’s. Desktop computers, heavy atmospherics and soul-baring lyrics became the foundation for his sound. Early on Nate developed a keen ear for music which resulted in a number of popular remixes. As time went on Nate and his musical peers delved deeper into experimental song structures. This can be heard on the track Starburst; a psychedelic funk jam with no chorus but merely a string of verses and bridges that crescendo into a beautiful finish. In the latter half of the 20-teen’s the young artist enrolled in art school and studied performance artists. Nate attended London South Bank University where his tastes and perspective on pop music completely shifted. “I would DJ at nights after class. I would do my little sets in these young bars and then I would stay to watch the local DJ’s. Their control of the crowd and knowledge of their culture’s musical history was astounding. It changed the way i look at what makes a hit song forever.”Today Nate spends his time locked in his studio at the artist residency or collaborating with other artists on the fringes of R&B and Hip-Hop. When asked in an interview with WHPK (88.5) about his future musical endeavors he replied “I wanna make timeless records. Songs that outlive me.”
