Young Man in a Hurry
Young Man in a Hurry
Young Man in a Hurry is an ever-evolving project that began as a weekly jam session with Matt Baron (Future Hits) and three inventive and distinct musicians: Meyer Horn (Sam Winch), Nick Harris (Ricky Mirage, The Obleeks), and Teddy Rankin-Parker (Iron & Wine, Primus). The supporting trio's common thread was their friendship with Baron and a willingness to help him flesh out a new batch of his idiosyncratic pop songs. A band born of friendship, and undeniably built in Chicago – Young Man in a Hurry reimagines all the lo-fi substantive sounds of their 80s and 90s youth in a kind of post-modern millennial seance. Their debut album, “Jarvis,” was produced by Brian Deck (Modest Mouse, Iron & Wine), and releases in 2019. The LP features guest musicians David Vandervelde (Father John Misty), Jason Stein, Scott Tuma (Souled American), Jon Graboff (Ryan Adams), Ryan Keberle (Sufjan Stevens, David Byrne), Jack Baron, and Sima Cunningham and Macie Stewart of Ohmme.

Luke Henry
Luke Henry plays languid folky psych-rock in which he employs his own finger picking styles, deeply pronounced voice, and simple but memorable songs. With a slew of self-releases ranging in style of southern glam to lap-slided out psych, he values keeping things interesting for himself and his audience.
