Born and raised on the Northside of Chicago, Tasha makes music and poems in the name of Black queer love, radical softness, and abolition of police, prisons, and borders. Her forthcoming record "Alone At Last" will be out on Father/Daughter Records in the Fall of 2018.

E'mon Lauren
E’mon Lauren is a queer Scorpio, from the West and Souf side of Chicago, who uses poetry and playwriting to explore a philosophy of hood womanism. She was named Chicago’s first Youth Poet Laureate. E’mon has been published in The BreakBeat Poets (Vol. 1 and 2), Poetry Magazine, The Down Dirty Word, and elsewhere. She has been featured in Chicago Magazine, The Chicago Tribune, and Vogue Magazine. She is a member of Young Chicago Authors Teaching Artist Corps. Her first chapbook of poems, COMMANDO, was published by Haymarket Books, Fall of 2017.

Kush Thompson is the author of A Church Beneath the Bulldozer, a womanist, painter, avid As Told By Ginger watcher, Native Foods regular, and former chapter co-chair of Black Youth Project 100 Chicago. Voted runner-up best local poet of 2014 by The Chicago Reader, one of The Root's 2015 Young Futurists, a 2017 Luminarts Creative Writing Fellow, and a 2018 first-year Cave Canem fellow, Kush can be found hauling bags of VHS tapes at your nearest thrift store.
